Things to do on Blue Monday (16th January) 

Call in sick and spend the whole day in bed watching crappy films and eating snacks only.  

Just joking… We would never encourage you to skip work (although if my desk is empty at work on Monday the please your own business).  

Anyways, here is a list of things you can actually do on Blue Monday AKA the most depressing day of the year.  

1. Take blue cupcakes into the office or uni 

2. Wake up extra early to spend extra time on your makeup so you look cuter than usual  

3. Wear a cute outfit  

4. Or wear a comfy outfit  

5. Eat Chinese food for lunch  

6. Get a takeout for dinner (so you have something to look forward to all day) 

7. Get yourself an expensive coffee in the morning  

8. Grab a sweet treat to eat before dinner  

9. Eat crisps for brunch (just realised a lot of these ideas involve food) 

10. Meet up with that friend you were supposed to meet for lunch months ago  

11. Create a list of things you are grateful for  

12. Listen to a new podcast  

13. Spent at least 2 hours reading that book you’ve been meaning to start  

14. Call the biggest gossip you know to get some tea  

15. Tell someone you love them  

16. Cuddle your pet  

17. Try to spend time with a loved one 

18. Buy yourself something cute (our New In page would be ideal for that) 

19. Watch Modern Family, Friends or Young Sheldon  

20. Dunk your fave biscuit into tea
